評分方式：
本課程包括每週三小時上課，以講解、影片、與隨堂討論並重的方式進行，課堂表現、心得報告與期末考為評分的主要依據

課程概要
自然資源，尤其是再生資源（如森林）的保育與管理，沿來即是國家社會的重要課題之一。其不僅與經濟發展及科技知識有關，更與社會變遷及環境保育緊密相連。早先的自然資源保育與管理側重經濟利益的獲取，後來則重視生態功能的考量，近來則有環境資源與社會人文整體思考的趨勢，以所謂永續發展為目標。傳統上自然資源的保育與管理模式多為國家力量直接介入，或者開放市場機制進入，試圖以公共財與私有財的概念，以行政強制執行力及經濟利益的損利，來強化對自然資源的保育與管理。晚近則出現共同管理模式（共有財產權）的討論，希望藉由小群體的社會規範力，改善政府機關僵化的作業、能力不足與修正私人企業唯利是圖的缺點。近年來，根植於地方社區及深度民主制度的參與式規劃與經營管理方式，如社區林，則受到各方的熱烈討論。在這種處理取向裡，人權、社會正義、族群、性別與地方特色等議題的考量與在地社群涉入決策的管道及機會是運作機制的主流，相關利害關係者伙伴關係的建構則是關鍵的課題。本課程以保育與管理的體制（institutions）為主軸，除介紹近年來社區保育論述的背景、發展與重點外，更希望能帶領學生操作一些在這種取向裡常用的研究方法。
